Talent Consulting has assigned James Wyman as a DevOps Engineer for Talent Consulting. During his career, James has worked across diverse work streams such as data migration, integration, databases, infrastructure, networks and storage across both public and private sectors. James brings his experiences to his new role in Talent, solving complex issues and problem-solving in order to provide meaningful value and change to our customers.
Starting out - My background before Talent
I started in the industry specialising in healthcare and specific applications, over the years I have worked across diverse work streams such as data migration, integration, databases, infrastructure, networks and storage across both public and private sectors. Over the last few years, I have moved on to being more cloud-focused from a technology perspective, catering to both public and private sector customers.
My New Role in Talent
I have been working with Talent for 3 months. The type of work I mainly do is DevOps/Engineering and Architecture. There isn’t really an average day as such, each day brings new challenges to overcome and problems to solve which can vary significantly.
My Day in the Life
I think the most enjoyable aspect is the opportunity to solve complex issues and problem solve, in order to provide meaningful value and change to our customers.
Building Better - What makes Talent different?
What separates Talent from the other agencies I have worked with is we genuinely care about quality delivery and outcomes for the customer and ensuring we are always asking the question of ourselves “If this investment was coming out of my own pocket, would I be happy with what has been delivered/the outcome?".
I would say Talent has a great social culture/team ethic and we strive to motivate/drive each other to be the best version of ourselves on a daily basis.
